PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining device capable of safely mass-producing sheet metal parts per unit of time by bending a plate-like material, having high mechanical strength, securing required accuracy, and allowing generation of damages or the like by machining to be reduced, and also to provide a machining method. SOLUTION: In the machining device having a plurality of machining means for bending a flat plate-like material, a first machining means of the plurality of the machining means bends one surface of the material at an angle equal to or lower than 180° by pressing the material, a second machining means bends the other surface of the material at an angle equal to or lower than 180° by pressing the material.
