The transponder (5) has a temperature sensor and is resistant to high temperature. The transponder has a contact surface for an attachment on a surface of the cooking crockery. The transponder is designed for an operating temperature of 150 degrees Celsius, particularly 250 degrees Celsius. The transponder is an active or semiactive transponder with an energy storage unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for fitting cooking crockery with a transponder.
