摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting contaminations on an optical measurement cuvette of a spectrophotometer, or desirably, of an oxygen content meter for determining the quantity of a hemoglobin derivative. <P>SOLUTION: In the measurement cuvette, at least one reference measurement for acquiring a reference spectrum I<SB>0</SB>(&lambda;) is executed by using a reference liquid in addition to at least one specimen measurement for acquiring a specimen spectrum I(&lambda;). The reference spectrum I<SB>0</SB>(&lambda;) is compared with a known target spectrum I<SB>0soll</SB>(&lambda;) related to the measurement cuvette to acquire a comparison parameter and it is automatically determined whether or not contaminations exist on the measurement cuvette as the function of a prescribed threshold of the comparison parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
