Cut lines are provided in advance on a first optical film (F11) having a width corresponding to the short side of an optical display unit (W) to divide the first optical film (F11) into a length corresponding to the long side of the optical display unit (W). Cut lines are provided in advance on a second optical film (F21) having a width corresponding to the long side of the optical display unit (W) to divide the second optical film (F21) into a length corresponding to the short side of the optical display unit (W). A first bonding device (18) bonds a divided piece of the first optical film (F11) having a length corresponding to the long side of the optical display unit (W) to one surface of the optical display unit (W). A second bonding device (28) bonds a divided piece of the second optical film (F21) having a length corresponding to the short side of the optical display unit (W) to the other surface of the optical display unit (W).
