<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical control high frequency variable attenuator which is capable of more increasing the change width of attenuation of a microwave signal. <P>SOLUTION: The optical control high frequency variable attenuator includes: a semiconductor substrate 2 showing a high resistance value in the dark; a filter circuit 20 having, on the semiconductor substrate, a plurality of resonators formed using a coplanar line structure; a light shielding cover 30 disposed on the semiconductor substrate so as to cover the filter circuit; and light sources 10 to 13 which are disposed in the light shielding cover together with the filter circuit and can variably controlling the amount of light emission on the basis of a control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
