<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an optical disk device (semiconductor device) having a spherical aberration correction lens with no position detecting means, to accurately move the spherical aberration correction lens without pressing the spherical aberration correction lens against a reference position. <P>SOLUTION: A state of the spherical aberration correction lens is recorded at timing of completion of motion of the spherical aberration correction lens. Thereby the newest state of the spherical aberration correction lens is always held in a recording medium, and the position of the spherical aberration correction lens is determined by using information stored in the recording medium.
