<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide guide wire, in which a core part and a tip member do not come off in introducing a catheter and which also has elasticity which can bear the operation of the guide wire, and moreover a manufacturing method which can simply manufacture the guide wire, does not take width in a longitudinal direction, enables the reduced diameter of a binding part, and raises operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the guide wire 1 comprising the core part 2 and the tip member 3, the core part and the tip member are joined by the binding part 4, and in the binding part, a coil spring 4b is arranged in an axial direction on the outsides of the core part, and the tip member in an overlapping part in which the proximal end side of the tip member overlaps the distal end side of the core part, and the core part, the tip member, and an adhesion resin part applied to the overlapping part of the coil spring are included.
