<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-image-quality image forming apparatus configured to prevent uneven charging and filming by preventing a resonance between the charging frequency of an AC voltage and the turning-fork driving frequency of a surface potential sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes at least: a photoreceptor 1 which carries a latent image thereon; a charging device 2 for uniformly charging the surface of the photoreceptor 1 with a charging bias voltage where the AC bias voltage is superposed on a DC bias voltage; and the surface potential sensor 8 for measuring the surface potential of the photoreceptor, wherein a relationship of fc≠fvsen×n and fc×n≠fvsen (n is integer) is established, when a frequency of the AC bias voltage is denoted as (fc), and the drive frequency of the surface potential sensor is denoted as (fvsen). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
