PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade sharpener with which not only a professional person but also any persons in homes can easily and conveniently sharpen a blade such as a kitchen knife or the like to provide a sharp edge. SOLUTION: The blade sharpener is constituted by a set of a blade sharpener body and an abrasive plate separate from the blade sharpener body. The blade sharpener body includes a rectangular base plate with two angle adjusting bolts at a front side, provided with a horizontally long blade placing platform with prescribed height, projecting and gently inclined rearward at a center of the base plate, a magnet provided on an upper surface of the blade placing platform, and three setting projections for positioning the blade. The abrasive plate is made of a long plate provided with a roller at an end of one side and a plate-like abrasive material with prescribed length on a lower face in the other side.
