PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable charging device of which a built-in charging means is reduced in size to its necessary minimum capacity, and which improves portability and reduces cost. SOLUTION: In the portable charging device, a first charging means is provided which has the necessary minimum capacity required for charging a built-in secondary battery of portable electronic equipment, the first charging means is quickly charged by a commercial power supply, a DC-DC converter is provided which charges a second charging means by a predetermined voltage obtained by boosting a voltage of the first charging means, and the second charging means and the portable electronic equipment are connected to charge the portable electronic equipment. Furthermore, in a DC-DC converter control means, a charged voltage of the second charging means is turned on/off by a load connection detection means for voltage supply. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
