PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor for improving reliability by checking operational failure on the assumption of eliminating a compression capacity variation in a two-cylinder type, and a refrigerating cycle device having this hermetic compressor and capable of improving refrigerating cycle efficiency. SOLUTION: This hermetic compressor R has a pressure switching valve H in a second cylinder 6B for switching pressure of a second blade chamber 10b to delivery pressure and suction pressure. This pressure switching valve has a valve body 21 having a suction communicating passage 26, a delivery communicating passage 28 and a blade chamber communicating passage 27, a cylindrical member 31 having one end opening part arranged in the second cylinder and having the other end closing part projected to the outside by penetrating through a sealed vessel 1, a magnetic member 23 connected via a connecting member D to a slider 24 stored in this cylindrical member, a compression spring 35 interposed between this magnetic member and a cylindrical member closing end surface, and an electromagnetic coil 22 installed on a closing end outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical member and having magnetic influence on the magnetic member.
