<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eyeground observation device capable of capturing the image of a vision acuity measurement region of the eyeground. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 210 of the eyeground observation device 1 changes the relative display positions of a Landolt ring T displayed by an LCD 39 and a fixation target V on the basis of a scan region R, thereby changes the projection region of the Landolt ring T on the eyeground Ef, and thereby causes the scan region R of signal light LS and the projection region of the Landolt ring T to overlap each other. In this state, the eyeground observation device 1 executes vision acuity measurement and OCT measurement, determines the value of vision acuity in the region of interest of the eyeground Ef, and creates the tomogram of the eyeground Ef in the scan region R.
