<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure printing machine which can prevent "thread-like ink blur" and "plate curdle" from occurring, when gravure printing is performed in water ink, and accelerate printing speed beyond the conventional speed level in the case that oily ink is used. <P>SOLUTION: This gravure printing machine is configured of the furnisher roll 5 arranged on the opposite side to the doctor knife 4. In addition, now on the doctor knife 4 side, an ink distributing roller 5a is arranged in a state of non-contact with the ink 2 between an ink pan 1 and a plate drum 3, on the doctor knife 4 side. Further, the circumferential velocity of the furnisher roll 5 is set 5 to 50% of the circumferential velocity of the plate drum 3, and the circumferential velocity of the ink distributing roller 5a is set 5 to 120% of the circumferential velocity of the plate drum 3.
