<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively correct horizontal stripe noise even when reference pixels are not sufficient. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: imaging elements having an effective pixel area composed of effective pixels for photoelectrically converting an objective image, and a reference pixel area composed of reference pixels each outputting a pixel signal as a reference; a first calculating unit for calculating standard deviation of the pixel signals output from the reference pixel area; a second calculating unit for calculating an integrated value of the pixel signals output from the reference pixel area; a third calculating unit for calculating a correction value for correcting the pixel signals output from the effective pixel area based on the integrated value; a correction unit for correcting the pixel signals output from the effective pixel area based on the correction value; and a determination unit for determining whether or not correction is to be carried out by the correction unit according to the standard deviation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
