PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a delicate vehicle speed operation using a main speed change member and a speed adjustment member, and to efficiently prevent an operation error of the speed adjustment member when the delicate vehicle speed operation using the speed adjustment member is not necessary, in a speed change operation unit including the main speed change member and the speed adjustment member. SOLUTION: The speed change operation unit is provided with a lock mechanism for locking the speed adjustment member in an operable state in which the speed adjustment member is rotatable about the axis or in a non-operable state in which the speed adjustment member is not rotatable about the axis in response to a manual operation from outside a case body. The lock mechanism includes a lock member housed in the case body movably along a direction perpendicular to the axis of the speed adjustment member so that the lock member can come in contact with and separate from the speed adjustment member, and a lock operating member having a base end connected to a lock plate and a front end extending outside the case body.
