PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material for a polymer battery having high physical properties for protecting a polymer battery body and high productivity in an embossing process or the like, as a material used for the packaging of the polymer battery, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the packaging material. SOLUTION: The packaging material for the polymer battery is composed of at least: a base material layer; an adhesive layer; a chemical conversion treatment layer 1; aluminum; a chemical conversion treatment layer 2; a heat sealing layer; and a liquid paraffin layer, and the heat sealing layer is made of polyolefin.
