PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for receiving radio signals, in which noise from an adjacent channel can be securely identified to improve noise elimination. SOLUTION: In a radio signal receiving method for receiving a frequency modulation signal on a radio channel in a specific center frequency and determining whether or not the radio channel is influenced by noise from an adjacent channel, the result of the determination is available for canceling the noise in a radio signal. The method includes the steps of: determining a range of frequency deviation above the center frequency and a range of frequency deviation below the center frequency for a predetermined portion of the received radio signal; and determining that the radio signal is affected by adjacent channel noise in the case where the range of frequency deviation below the center frequency is substantially different from the range of frequency deviation above the center frequency.
