PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverted bottle inspection machine for surely and efficiently inspecting the existence of a foreign substance within a liquid filling a bottle. SOLUTION: The inverted bottle inspection machine includes a bottle holder 5 in which an accommodation space 25 is provided so as to have entirely-opened front and back sections, and hold the bottle in an accommodation state. In the bottle holder 5, a holding member 12 includes the accommodation space 25, and is reversibly, rotatably and pivotably attached to a supporting member 10. The bottle holder 5 is operated and inclined so as to change the bottle from an upright state to an inclined and inverted state. The bottle is illuminated by an illumination light from an illumination apparatus 139 through the entirely-opened back section 23, and is inspected through the entirely-opened front section 22.
