PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a compost spreading machine called as a manure spreader in the case of spreading organic fertilizer rich in fertilizer component such as poultry manure on a field, comprising poor spreading accuracy to cause non-uniform spreading and fertilizer injury even by decreasing spreading amount of the fertilizer per unit area. SOLUTION: A barrier-form restriction gate 3 traversing a load box 1 is placed above a rear end of a floor conveyor 2 in the load box 1 at a position shifted from a terminal end toward a front end in a manner to float a lower edge of the restriction gate 3 from the upper face of the floor conveyor 2 to form a gap for passing the fertilizer between the lower edge of the restriction gate 3 and the upper face of the floor conveyor 2. A narrowing board 4 to narrow width of fertilizer flow is placed above the floor conveyor 2 behind the restriction gate 3 and the fertilizer passed through the gap and discharged backward is gathered from the right and left toward the center.
