Provided is a technique for manufacturing an oxide-dispersion-strengthened platinum material that has excellent high-temperature creep properties and high elongation properties. Said material is characterized by having a structure comprising at least six pairs of the following layers, laminated in alternation: concentrated layers in which an added metal for oxide-dispersion strengthening, or a metal oxide thereof, is concentrated; and platinum layers which consist primarily of platinum and have a low concentration of the aforementioned added metal or metal oxide. The outermost surface of the material is preferably a platinum layer or a concentrated layer. |
