<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine that can suppress discharging of ammonia from a selective reduction catalyst, and discharging of NOx without being purified by the selective reduction catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device has a filter 30 for collecting particulate matter included in exhaust gas, a selective reduction catalyst converter 40 for carrying the selective reduction catalyst, a urea water adding valve 70 for supplying urea water, an exhaust temperature sensor 60C for detecting the temperature of the selective reduction catalyst, a heat storage material 90 as a temperature adjusting means capable of adjusting the temperature of the exhaust gas flowing in the selective reduction catalyst, a bypass passage 16 and a bypass valve 95, and an ECU 100 for executing first temperature adjusting processing for adjusting the temperature of the selective reduction catalyst acquired by the exhaust temperature sensor 60C by controlling the bypass valve 95, to a first predetermined temperature region relatively high in the NOx purification rate, and adsorption amount reduction processing for reducing an adsorption amount of ammonia adsorbed to the selective reduction catalyst, in filter regeneration processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
