PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a dispersion of the chitosan microparticles with a single-micron size and multifunctionality as has a high concentration and complete dispersion and as is high in the usefulness for a plenty of fields such as cosmetics, medical treatments and so on, and to provide a use of the same. SOLUTION: This fluid dispersion of chitosan microparticles is characterized by having the good dispersibility and high flow in the presence of a minute chitosan at a high concentration in an aqueous solution which contains 100 pts.mass of the chitosan and more than 10 to 70 pts.mass of at least one kind of an acid selected from the group consisting of citric acid, tartaric acid and malic acid; the specific multifunctionality of [good sensuous property of the touch (dry feeling), good retentivity on a subject surface, anti-oxidation, deodorizing ability against lipid oxidizing odor and odor-neutralizing ability against basic compounds such as ammonia and the like] is utilized for cosmetics, medical supplies, foods and industrial products.
