PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed forging device capable of forming a highly accurate forged article by a low-pressure press. SOLUTION: An upper die set descending, a workpiece is clamped with an upper die 11 and a lower die 110. With the upper die set further descending, a wedge 4 enters an abutting part of the rear 105 of a fixed block and the rear 107 of a fixed cam. The rear 107 of the fixed cam shifts to the right, clamping to hold the upper die 11 and the lower die 110. Simultaneously, the rear 105 of the fixed block and a cam holding plate 103 move to the left, and the front 106 of the fixed cam fixed to the cam holding plate 103 also moves to the left, clamping and holding the upper die 11 and the lower die 110. With the upper die set still further descending, the workpiece pressurized by a pressurizing pin through the descending of the wedge in a different cross section fills the cavity of the upper and lower dies, which completes the forming.
