PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device in which a disk can be reliably re-carried in an inner part of a casing without being determined as a foreign matter when the disk carried out from the inner part of the casing is re-carried in. SOLUTION: A sensing part is provided between an insertion slot 23 of the casing and a supporting body 21 loading the disk D and the shape and the size of the disk D carried toward the supporting body 21 by a transfer unit 17 are determined. The disk D carried out from the inner part of the casing 2 is stopped at a carry-out completed position at which a part of the disk D is protruded from the insertion slot 23. When it is not sensed that the disk D is pulled out and the disk D is re-carried in, determination of the shape and the size by the sensing part is not performed.
