The invention relates to a drive assembly for a motor vehicle, comprising a transmission designed as a power-shiftable group transmission that includes a splitter transmission (SG), a main transmission (HG), and, as needed, a range-change transmission (BG). The group transmission (SG, HG, BG) has a transmission input shaft (5) and a transmission output shaft (8). Idling gears and fixed gears are provided that form transmission gears and are arranged on transmission shafts (5, 6, 31, 32).
