The present invention relates to an advertising method using the time when channels are changed and an apparatus for implementing the method. The broadcast receiving apparatus comprises the steps of: storing image data for an advertisement in embedded memory; outputting the image data previously stored in a memory module when a channel is changed and the broadcast receiving apparatus senses the changing of channels in the broadcast output; and switching the screen to the changed channel when the channel change is completed by the apparatus. Thereby, the broadcast receiving apparatus reduces boredom for the viewer who does not have a black screen and instead has a multimedia data display, during a change of channels. |
