The tool (10) has an acceleration sensor (50) provided for detecting acceleration of the tool, and an adjusting device (40) provided for adjusting torsional moment of a rotating and/or drivable insertion tool (20). A detection unit (42) is provided for detecting motor current and/or the torsional moment, and coupled with the acceleration sensor. The acceleration sensor detects acceleration of the insertion tool in working direction (X). A detection device (34) is provided for detecting a performance parameter of a drive (30) of the insertion tool. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an electric machine tool.
