PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication method capable of shortening the period of time required for bus arbitration. SOLUTION: Transmission times between a granting apparatus and sending apparatus C, D, H, K, and L are measured in a communication environment, where a transfer direction from the granting apparatus to respective sending apparatus C, D, H, K, and L is clockwise. Next, the communication environment is switched to a communication environment, where the transfer direction from the granting apparatus to the respective sending apparatus C, D, H, K, and L is counterclockwise, and the transmission times between the granting apparatus and the sending apparatus C, D, H, K, and L are measured in that communication environment. The transfer direction is switched on the basis of the transmission times to transfer packets so that the transmission times for the sending apparatus C, D, H, K, and L become short, respectively.
