<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock ring for a pipe joint which prevents an excessive bite of claw portions into a pipe body effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The lock ring 30 includes: an annular ring portion 31 inserted with a pipe body 40; eight or more inclination plate portions 42 which are provided at the inside circumferential side of the ring portion 31 being spaced in the circumferential direction and inclines in the axial direction of the ring portion 31; claw portions 36 which are provided on the inclination plate portions 42 spaced in the circumferential direction S, extend inside the radial direction of the ring portion 31, and bites into the outside circumferential surface of the pipe body 40 to prevent the coming-off of the pipe body 40; and restriction portions 38 which are provided at positions adjacent to the claw portions 36 of the inclination plate portions 42 and prevent the bite of the claw portions 36 into the outside circumferential surface of the pipe body 40 by contacting the outside circumferential surface of the pipe body 40. By setting the total of lengths L along the circumferential direction of claw tips of the plurality of claw potions 36 within a range of 16 to 46% of the circumference of a first circle M1 which passes the claw tips and is concentric with the ring portion 31, the claw portions 36 can be prevented effectively from biting excessively into the pipe body 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
