<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery capable of improving cycle characteristics, preservation characteristics, and initial charge and discharge characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery is provided with a positive electrode 21, a negative electrode 22 as well as electrolyte solution, and the electrolyte solution is impregnated in a separator 23 installed between the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode 22. The solvent of the electrolyte solution contains a dicarbonyl compound which has two carbonyl groups mutually bonded in the center and has a halogenated alkoxy group, halogenated aryloxy group, or isocyanate group at least at one of both the ends. Since chemical stability of the electrolyte solution is improved, decomposition reaction of the electrolyte solution is suppressed upon charge and discharge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
