摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor which detects an offset and orientation of component when it is held at a nozzle of a pick and place machine. SOLUTION: The sensor includes a plurality of two-dimensional cameras 300, a back light illumination device 306, and a controller 308. Each camera includes a field of view including the nozzle of the pick and place machine. A back light illumination device is constituted so as to orient its illumination to a plurality of two-dimensional cameras. The back light illumination device is positioned at opposite side of the nozzle from the plurality of two-dimensional cameras. The controller is coupled to the plurality of two-dimensional cameras and the back light illumination device. The controller is constituted so as to decide the offset and orientation information of (many) components 302 based on the plurality of shadow images illuminated by the back light which are detected by the plurality of two-dimensional cameras.
