<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter set that improves insertion property of a catheter and also to provide a method for producing the catheter set. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter set A comprises a catheter 10 having a blood removing lumen and a blood supplying lumen, stylets 20 and 25, and an insertion resistance reducing member. A groove is formed on the outer circumference of the stylet 20. The insertion resistance reducing member comprises an elongated section 24a inserted into the groove of the stylet 20 and a coil-like covering section connected to the distal end of the elongated section and covering the distal ends of the stylets 20 and 25 to make the level difference between the distal end of the catheter 10 and the stylets 20 and 25 small. When the covering section is extended, the covering section can pass through the blood removing lumen.
