<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device which easily controls light, has excellent response characteristics and is miniaturized, and an optoelectronic integrated device which includes the semiconductor device. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor device has a circular cross section and a shape extending in the direction of a center axis thereof, and also has a desired integrated circuit formed on its side face and an electrode formed on its end face. The optoelectronic integrated device is constituted by arranging and integrating, on a substrate provided with a buoy groove or pin, the semiconductor device, a single or a plurality of shape memory alloys each of which has a circular cross section and a shape extending in the center axial direction thereof and is elongated and contracted according to the variation in temperature, a single or a plurality of optical waveguide members each of which is made of a light-transmissive material, has a circular cross section and a shape extending in the center axial direction thereof and has a refractive index varying in the radial direction in the cross section so that an optical beam propagates along the center axis, and the optical beam is controlled by the combination of the semiconductor device, the shape memory alloys and the optical waveguide members. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
