<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify the position of a user of a mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 100 extracts a watermark ID from a captured image, and sends the extracted watermark ID and a user ID to a positioning server 200. The positioning server 200 collates watermark IDs with position specification information stored in advance, based on the received watermark ID and the user ID, to determine the location of the user of the mobile terminal 100.
