PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top rod for fishing which has good bending properties and hardly causes breakage even when being bent largely. SOLUTION: The fishing rod has the solid top rod 20 for fishing which is formed by arranging a plurality of reinforcing fiber bundles obtained by impregnating many reinforcing fibers directed in the shaft length direction with a synthetic resin. The top rod 20 for the fishing is regulated so that the amount of resin impregnated at the center part may be larger than that at the surface layer part in the cross section obtained by cutting the top rod in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis direction at any position, and the amount of resin impregnated may continuously be changed in the radial direction.
