PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for electronically correcting residual chromatic aberration of magnification of a lens optimally under all photography conditions in an interchangeable camera system, with respect to the interchangeable lens camera system comprising a plurality of groups of interchangeable lens different in residual chromatic aberration of magnification performance and groups of many kinds of camera bodies different in the number of image pickup element pixels and pixel pitches. SOLUTION: A plurality of data for correcting chromatic aberration of magnification corresponding to a plurality of lens state conditions are stored in a storage means inside a lens unit, the data are transferred into a camera body by communication when the system operates, the plurality of data for correcting chromatic aberration of magnification are converted into data of a pixel pitch scale reflecting a camera specific condition of pixel pitch and the number of pixels on an image signal processing program inside the camera body or an external image signal processing program corresponding to camera output, and then an appropriate electronic correction of residual chromatic aberration of magnification of lens is performed by the data.
