PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a passenger to remove foreign matter in a sill groove, and to enable the passenger to take out its personal belongings from the inside of the sill groove, when the personal belongings required for the passenger falls in the sill groove. SOLUTION: This sill device has a sill 7 having the recessed sill groove 7a for guiding opening-closing operation of a car door 1 by engaging with a door shoe 6 of a lower end part of the car door 1, and a through-hole 5 formed in this sill 7 and discharging the foreign matter intruded in the sill groove 7a to the outside of the sill groove 7a, and includes a blocking-up body 2 having one end side 2a installed in the car door 1, having the other end side 2b arranged on the back face side of the sill 7 and closing the through-hole 5 in response to opening operation of the car door 1 when opening the door. The blocking-up body 2 has a guide body 4 composed of a bendable elastic member and guiding the blocking-up body 2 so as to be capable of traveling on the back face side of the sill 7.
