A waterproof structure for a casing comprises a first case member having a first abutting surface and a second case member having a second abutting surface opposite the first abutting surface. By applying a water repellent treatment to the first and second abutting surfaces, at least two boundaries which vary from regions having a relatively small contact angle of liquid droplets to regions having a relatively large contact angle of liquid droplets along the infiltration direction of a liquid are provided at the abutting ends of the first and second case members.
