<p>A vehicle body structure which deforms a little at an offset collision and deforms much at a full lap collision. A floor panel (10) has a groove (14) extending from a flat portion (11) of the floor panel (10) to a dash lower panel portion (12) in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A floor upper member (20) having generally U-shaped cross-section is accommodated in the groove (14), forming a closed cross-section. The floor upper member (20) and the flat portion (11) are welded to brackets (41, 42). A floor cross member (30) extending in the lateral direction of the vehicle is secured to the flat portion (11) over the groove (14).</p> |
