<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment tool for an endoscope which permits a bending shape-retaining function having required strength to be granted to a required range of a flexible sheath and can be surely and easily switched to the condition where the flexible sheath changes the shape passively in response to an external force and the condition where the sheath can stably retain an arbitrary bending shape and vice versa. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment tool for an endoscope is structured so as to increase frictional resistance acting on shape-retaining operating wires 15 in the portions in contact with wire guide holes 91 with the increase of a tensile force applied to the shape-retaining operating wires 15 by varying the axial direction or the axial position between the wire guide holes 91 arranged in each joint wheel 7 and the wire guide holes 91 located adjacently thereto in a serial direction. When every shape-retaining operating wire 15 is pulled from the base end side, frictional resistance between the shape-retaining operation wires 15 and the wire guide holes 91 increases, and permits a bending shape-retainable tube portion 11 to retain the bending shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
