<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stick for walking aid that facilitates use by a physically impaired person, particularly, a person having a limited movable range of the joints in the hands and arms and that properly and efficiently mitigates a load on the user's legs, and also to provide a method of manufacturing the stick for walking aid. <P>SOLUTION: The stick 1 for walking aid includes a rod-like stick body 2 for mitigating a load on the user's legs, a grip 3 for the user to grasp by hand, and a mounting portion 4 for mounting the grip 3 on the stick body 2. The mounting portion 4 fixes the grip 3 to the stick body 2.
