<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing a protein-polymer composite material. <P>SOLUTION: The process for preparing the protein-polymer composite material is provided according to the embodiment which includes providing an admixture of a polymer resin, a surfactant and a non-aqueous organic solvent. An aqueous solution including bioactive proteins and substantially free of a surfactant is mixed with the admixture. The emulsion is mixed with a crosslinker to produce a curable composition.
