PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus of animation planning for a dynamic graph, which can attain improvement in readability and increase in animation-demonstration speed. SOLUTION: The method includes steps of: grouping changed nodes into atomic partitions 1-4 according to the relationships between the changed nodes within the dynamic graph and existing nodes; and clustering the atomic partitions according to clustering distances between the atomic partitions to generate a running list including clusters of atomic partitions or atomic partitions, or both as elements. The method further includes steps of: grouping nodes within the dynamic graph into various node groups according to correlations between the nodes within the dynamic graph and key nodes designating nodes to which each change connection is directly connected; and planning an animation-demonstration of node movement resulting from the connection change by the node groups.
