PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear state detection device for a conveyor belt capable of detecting a wear state of the conveyor belt accurately and detecting even progress of the wear state of the conveyor belt precisely by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A magnet 13 for detecting wear composed of an inclined rubber magnet 11 being inclined for both of the direction of advance of the conveyor belt 1 and the direction of its thickness and a plane magnet 12 extended into a face vertical to the direction of thickness of the conveyor belt and arranged at a position where its center opposes to a terminal of the inclined rubber magnet 11 and a reference magnet 14 being separated from the plane magnet 12 by the predetermined distance and extended into the face vertical to the direction of thickness of the conveyor belt 1 are buried in the conveyor belt 1. A peak of changes of magnetic field from the magnet 13 for detecting wear and a peak of changes of magnetic field from the reference magnet 14 are detected by a magnetic sensor 15 arranged on a surface 1a side of the conveyor belt 1 to detect a wear state of the conveyor belt 1 based on time interval of two peaks.
