PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact foundation structure, capable of improving earthquake resistance as the whole structure by using a sheet pile which has been used as a temporal member as a main member. SOLUTION: The foundation structure includes a plurality of steel sheet piles 5 set to surround the upper parts of piles 3 and 3, and footing concrete 7 placed in a space surrounded by the sheet piles 5. The foundation structure further includes a perforated steel dowel 9 provided on the inner surface of the steel sheet pile 5, and a parallel wire 13 provided along the inner circumferential direction of the sheet pile 5 while being engagingly locked by the dowel 9 to strength the connection each between the sheet piles 5.
