A sheet finishing apparatus includes a conveyance section to convey a recording medium supplied from an image forming section in a paper discharge direction, and a finishing section which protrudes to a conveyance path from a side, parallel to the paper discharge direction, of the conveyance path of the recording medium in the conveyance section and finishes the recording medium traveling along the conveyance path.
