MICROENCAPSULATED FIRE RETARDANT AND USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microencapsulated fire retardant and the uses thereof.

SOLUTION: The microencapsulated fire retardant comprises a core containing the fire retardant and the shell of a natural microtubule, wherein the core is encapsulated by the shell. The microencapsulated fire retardant can be composited into a certain polymeric substrate by a mixing method so as to form a corresponding fire-retardant polymeric composite material.
