PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing various microbes, which combines swiftness and long-term sustainability and effectively and wholly suppresses the microbes. SOLUTION: Antimicrobial compositions are based on the synergistic compound of 2-methyl-3-isothiazolone and selected second commercial microbicides. The compositions comprise 0-3 wt.% of a halogenated 3-isothiazolone on the basis of a total weight of 2-methyl-3-isothiazolone and the halogenated 3-isothiazolone. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
