PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost drinking water feeder capable of measuring the temperature of drinking water with favorable accuracy. SOLUTION: The drinking water feeder is equipped with a cold water tank for storing the drinking water, a cooling section for cooling the drinking water in the cold water tank, a hot water tank for storing the drinking water, a heating section for heating the drinking water in the hot water tank, a sanitation indicating section for indicating the sanitation operation of the cold water tank, a sanitation executing section for supplying the drinking water in the hot water tank to the cold water tank based on the instructions from the sanitation indicating section, a temperature detecting section for detecting the temperature of the drinking water in the cold water tank, and a control section for controlling the cooling operation of the cooling section according to the detected temperature of the temperature detecting section when no instruction from the sanitation indicating section is given and for suspending the control of the cooling operation of the cooling section according to the detected temperature of the temperature detecting section when the instruction from the sanitation indicating section is given.
