PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable cold insulating container capable of preventing front and rear side walls from being broken by a head or a tail of a large fish even if the large fish is moved in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The cold insulating container 1 stores the large fish Z, is composed of a synthetic resin foam, and has a box-shaped container body 10 with its top face opened. The container body 10 has a thick-walled reinforcing part 14 extending in the longitudinal direction on at least a part of a ridge between a bottom wall 11 and right and left side walls 12 and 12. A reinforcing plate 15 formed separately from the container body 10 is held by a holding part 16 formed on the container body 10 at a part to be hit by the head or the tail of the large fish Z in at least one of front and rear side walls 13 and 13 of the container body 10. The holding part 16 has front and rear regulating parts 16a for regulating the reinforcing plate 15 from the inner side in the longitudinal direction, and capable of inserting and drawing the reinforcing plate 15 in the vertical direction.
